Ukraine Anticipates a Determined US Response
First Deputy Foreign Minister Serhiy Kyslytsya articulated this viewpoint.
The Ukrainian diplomat observes that the Kremlin persists in deceiving the United States and Donald Trump personally, while consistently hindering the pathway to peace.
However, I believe that gradually, the US administration is gaining a clearer understanding that Moscow is manipulating it. I see no indications that Putin is prepared for meaningful talks – whether bilateral or trilateral.
The Ukrainian envoy insists that should the Kremlin reject a Zelenskyy-Putin meeting, the US should impose extra sanctions “almost immediately.”
According to him, this should occur once the deadline chosen by Donald Trump for Moscow passes.
And then Russians will genuinely experience the sting for refusing the peaceful approach President Trump offered the Russian Federation, stressed Kyslytsya.
