The bail of UAH 6 million, set by the High Anti-Corruption Court for the former Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA, Olga Stefanishyna, has not been paid.
This was reported to Ukrinform by court employee Kateryna Shipilova.
“The bail of UAH 6 million for the former Ambassador to the USA has not been paid,” she stated.
It should be noted that if the bail is not paid within five working days, the prosecutor has the authority to apply to the court with a motion to change the pre-trial restraint to a stricter one.
Meanwhile, according to Hromadske, on August 11, the Appellate Chamber of the HACC received an appeal from Stefanishyna’s lawyers against the decision on the pre-trial restraint. It is scheduled for review soon.

As Ukrinform reported, on August 6, the HACC chose a measure of restraint for Stefanishyna in the form of bail amounting to UAH 6 million.
She is also required to appear when summoned by NABU detectives, the prosecutor, the investigating judge, or the court, depending on the stage of the criminal proceedings; to inform NABU detectives, the prosecutor, or the court about any change of residence, depending on the stage of the criminal proceedings; and to refrain from communicating with individuals determined by the investigating judge’s ruling.
Stefanishyna was informed of suspicion of illegal enrichment and declaration of unreliable information.
President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Stefanishyna from her post as Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA on August 3. Prior to that, she served as a special representative for the development of cooperation with the USA, and before that, she held the position of Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine.
On July 16, 2025, the SAP stated that they had registered criminal proceedings to investigate facts presented in a journalistic investigation involving Stefanishyna.
The investigation by “Ukrainska Pravda” indicated that ARMA had selected a company to manage the Trade Unions House on Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv, which might be linked to Stefanishyna’s ex-husband.
In turn, Stefanishyna emphasized that she is not connected to her ex-husband’s activities.
Additionally, the organization Transparency International Ukraine reported that Stefanishyna is also фигурант in the so-called Lukas case, which is currently under consideration by the HACC. This case involves former Minister of Justice Olena Lukas and other defendants accused of embezzling UAH 2,523,000 in 2013-2014, which were allocated for adapting national legislation to EU legislation. Stefanishyna headed the department of the Ministry of Justice during that period.
